I love a carded fibre preparation for spinning lofty, woollen yarns. The carding process opens up the bunch of fibre and introduces air, but doesn’t arrange them in absolute parallel like combs. This allows for spinning an airy, insulating yarn. The price is for the pair of hand carders.

I find these hand carders ergonomic and easy on my wrists as they’re nice and light and the paddle portion is curved. I find that that allows for a smooth motion without wrenching my elbows.

These hand carders are 46tpi (teeth per inch), which is suitable for most standard wools.
