White Jacob Wool Top

£4.00 £3.60

Jacob sheep are an English heritage breed with textured wool. This fibre is from a selection of the white wool, though the sheep are usually a mix of colours. This is one of my favourite sheep breeds – they often have four horns and the first time I saw one I fell in love!

I love to spin this wool on its own, as it has lovely grip and texture. It’s also great in a blend to add some depth. The natural colour is a creamy off-white and it takes dye well, though take the usual precautions when dyeing wool fibre to avoid felting. This is a medium softness wool and I think this is a beautiful wool whether for a beginner or more advanced spinner.

Sold in units of approximately 50g.
