Blending boards are great tools to have for creating your own fibre or colour blend in your fibre prep process, and to keep the process portable and accessible. You can use this blending board to create small mixed batts, and also rolags, one of my favourite fibre preparations. I like to use a blending board to experiment with a variety of natural coloured fibres like here in the shop to create a beautiful, subtle fibre to spin.
The Louët blending board has a size of 30x30cm and a carding cloth at 72tpi (teeth per inch), a nice density suitable for a good range of fibres.
This is a very sturdy blending board, with dowels and a brush to help you make consistent, professional rolags. The wood is lacquered birch, which is durable but lightweight, so easier to hold than heavier woods.
