I’m still awaiting the arrival of my big loom while it’s being built in the Netherlands.
In the meantime, spectacular Handweavers Studio has lent me their floor model of the loom. I can’t say enough how helpful and supportive they’ve been in Loom Saga. They’re the best!
We rented a van and picked up the temporary loom. It’s 20cm narrower than the final one that will be mine, but great to give it a try. I made a short (4.5m) war in cream organic cotton for a tester that I’m excited about. It’s taking ages to thread it for some reason and I’m struggling to find a chair or bench that is just the right height for ergonomic threading!
Next weekend I have to make the warp for my competition wrap on my new warping board and be ready for when the new loom arrives.
