I’m a prolific knitter and and an avid traveller around beautiful Great Britain and those two go hand in hand. Every road trip, lunch break, pub lunch, cafe visit, moment stuck in the motorway services, it’s all an opportunity to knit. I’ve even been spotted knitting while on a walk in the woods in New Forest! But for some reason last autumn I hit a bit of a knitter’s block.
I think it was a combination of having finished my Everest project, being incredibly busy at work, being pregnant, other projects taking more time, and general life! I started a project that I wanted to be my “get my groove back” shawl but…nope. I kept staring at it in my hands without the ability to do it, even though I’ve done far more difficult projects without issue. It was kind of a scary feeling.
Well flash forward 10 months, we’re on a family trip to Wales. Just like the ‘old’ days I thought why not bring my knitting? BAM! Suddenly I could do it and I was enjoying it! I think I’ve mostly got my groove back!
